The doctor who saved my life. Incredible in every respect. I had a hysterectomy, there were no complications and I recovered quickly. I recommend it 100%, I think you can't get better

Finding the right consultant is so important for any medical procedure but when it comes to gynaecology and the possibility of a full hysterectomy it can make the difference between dealing with an issue or putting up with it. From my first consultation with Mr Griffiths I knew I had found the right person. He explained fully my issues and the options I had. He patiently answered all my queries including the seemingly basic ones. He introduced me to his wonderful colleague Anita who was so helpful with my initial decision of trialing a pessary to deal with a prolapse. Mr Griffiths's reassurance on delaying my surgery to deal with other family medical issues, was so helpful at a very worrying time and gave me additional insight into his wonderful kind nature. My surgery was at The Ridgeway Hospital, Wroughton, Wiltshire. Mr Griffiths' team were great. The anaesthetist explained fully the procedure I would be having and his team put me at ease so quickly. The ward staff were cheerful, attentive and discreet. It is a small hospital but with a team with big hearts. My recovery has been astonishing and I can only put this to Mr Griffiths surgical skills. I am recommending him to any one I can!

Mr Griffiths always takes time to listen to me and provides different options for me to consider. He allows me to be fully involved in decisions about my treatment whilst recommending the best options for me. He is gentle, caring and put me at ease from the initial examination through to the operation itself. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs to see a gynaecologist or who needs a hysterectomy. My surgery was uneventful and recovery was straightforward. He explained everything at each stage and made time to see me after the surgery. I’m incredibly grateful to him for looking after me and resolving the problem.

My experience with Mr Griffiths was amazing from my first appointment, he listened and totally understood my symptoms. It was refreshing to have someone take me seriously and understand what I was going through and confirm that I would benefit from having a hysterectomy. He made me feel so comfortable talking things through, his gently manner and empathy was much appreciated as it's not an easy subject to talk to a male about. I cant thank him enough for making me feel at ease all the way through the procedure.

From my initial consultation with David he really listened to my concerns and addressed them before suggesting and medication or treatments. He was always honest with his thoughts and would answer all the questions I had (there were lots) on the day of the operation he was always checking to make sure I understood what was going to happen and that I was ok. He even called my husband after the operation to let him know all went well (nurse said he wouldn’t) He is always calm and friendly and would recommend to everyone!

From my first meeting with Mr Griffiths, I felt very comfortable and happy that he was looking after me. He has a kind and caring persona which comes across very quickly and makes you feel completely relaxed - I had no doubt I was in good hands. I was so pleased with everything he did for me and my whole experience was so much better than I anticipated. My full abdominal hysterectomy went very smoothly and, to my amazement, I didn't experience any pain whatsoever after my operation. I would highly recommend Mr Griffiths.

Having to have a hysterectomy comes with an assortment of emotional, physical & practical considerations. I came to Mr Griffiths for a second opinion as my first had been somewhat blunt and uninformative but, whilst the diagnosis remained the same, I very quickly knew that he was the surgeon with whom I felt comfortable, listened to and fully considered. Moreover he went above and beyond with extra care such as allowing me to retain my cervix and providing me with hormonal implants. I unfortunately required full, vertical abdominal surgery but, thanks to Mr Griffiths and his excellent team, the experience was made far easier than I had anticipated and 7 weeks post op I was on a beach sunning myself - in a bikini!

From my first consultation, the consultation with Dr. Griffiths has been great. I had many questions that were answered with care and compassion. Dr.Griffiths thoroughly explained my options and spent time answering my many questions and concerns. Dr. Griffiths went the extra mile to ensure my hysterectomy was performed through keyhole rather than cesarean, saving me weeks of recovery pain and time. I happily recommend using Dr. Griffiths for Gynaecology procedures.

Mr Griffiths is fantastic. He's treated me for various gynaecology issues over more than 10 years, from cysts, to unexplained pain, and a full hysterectomy, menopause and HRT. He has a brilliant bed side manner. He listens to what you have to say and can put people at ease, simply explains the diagnosis, treatement options, risks and care. He also adds a little humour. He makes me feel like a person and not just a number. He genuinely cares and wants to best for his patients.

I wanted to thank you for the wonderful work you did to remove the fibroid I had. It is not quite 2 weeks since the operation and already I am feeling so much better than beforehand. All my symptoms have gone, including those that I didn't think were related.

Please extend my thanks and appreciation to your lovely nurse, Anita, who was always so warm and helpful. Also, thank you to the staff on the ward, their care was exceptional. Please also thank Dr Ridgeway, I've taken her advice and the Spartone is a much nicer way to build up my blood iron.

Just a quick note to thank you, unreservedly for the amazing help you have given me. I truly think you are a very gifted man and I will always be grateful to whoever it was that made out paths cross. I cannot believe that you did such a big operation through 4 tiny holes. QUITE extraordinary. I hope you realise what a massive difference you make to women like me who are having such problems that affect their whole existence. I shall continue to recover and can only thank you again, you are a brilliant man.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you for changing my life so much. I came to see you in April as I was suffering with really heavy periods. You performed a keyhole Hysterectomy on 14 June. I have just realised it has now been six months and I can't believe how different the last 6 months have been. I can live normally now. I get absolutely nothing at all not even any spotting, so I can relax and plan days out and weekends away. I am so much happier so thank you very much.

I have to say you are the first healthcare professional who has a) taken the time to explain my condition(s) and listened to me and b) explained how they are interrelated e.g. Endometriosis and IC. I am certainly more aware now and hopeful that something can be done.
